Identity Crisis and what about it ? – The negative Part.

An identity crisis is a time of intensive analysis and exploration of different ways of looking at oneself.
Its a very common struggle that each and every one go through his/her entire life. Is this some thing that you shall be worried off? Answer is yes and no.
I have fortunate enough to come across this term while I was doing my graduation. I was reading a book from my regional language popular author. One sentence caught my attention. “Every one in the world is so busy with their problems or struggles. No one have time to think about you” and then he started explaining why a person worries too much about getting recognized and the whole concept of Identity Crisis.
Lets start with an example which is most commonly noticed. A person is waiting in a bus stop. He found his friend across the road and waved hand at him and the friend did not look at him. Now is the fun part, the hand that was waving in the air now slowly comes on to the persons hair and pretends as if he is adjusting the hair. Or that person looks at people standing next and gives a tight smile. The logic is simple, the person waved his/her hand felt embarrassed since the friend did not respond.
This explains a lot of common issues that we come across in regular life and unless you don’t realize that its not much of a deal. But one thing is sure, these small and little issues pile up and finally at one stage changes the persons own personality itself.
This crisis is the one makes people less confident and make them struggle for nothing. At the same time this crisis is the one drives a persons growth if its used in a constructive way. I might write an other post later about how this can be used constructively since I have limited time today.
